[2008-10-15] Lassiter antique ray gun from Firefly

I'm pretty sure the handle of this prop from episode 11 of Joss Whedon's awesometastic Firefly was built from one of the "Galactronic Gun" toys shown above, which in turn is a knock-off of Edison Giaccatoli's famous "Super Thur" or "TG-105" ray gun. I remembered noticing the similar shapes when the show was on TV, but was surprised to find no images of the gun from the show available on the web. Surely some cosplayer somewhere wants to build one of these things? Thus I've captured my own and posted them here.
